Man arrested for attempted homicide in Lancaster

A man wanted for threatening his ex-girlfriend’s and stabbing her new boyfriend is in custody after seven months on the run, Lancaster police said.

Alexander Colon, 24, was located in Puerto Rico during the first week of December, police said. He is awaiting extradition to Lancaster County.

Colon is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, burglary, and related offenses.

Police said he had a knife when he went to a home in the 700 block of South Lime Street and threatened to kill the couple on May 11.

Colon then went to a second home on the same block where he stabbed the new boyfriend over a dozen times, police said.
