Man arrested for graffiti spree in Ephrata

A man is accused of causing more than $8,700 in damage during a graffiti spree in downtown Ephrata.

Giuseppe (Joey) A. Mazzola, 21, is charged with a felony count of criminal mischief.

Police said Mazzola painted graffiti on 19 properties in a nine-block radius, including homes, businesses, and vehicles.

He also painted graffiti on an overpass, utility boxes, and on the historic Ephrata caboose during the early morning hours of July 2.

Mazzola was arrested at a home in Neffsville.  He was placed in Lancaster County Prison on $25,000 bail.
