Man charged in shooting to break up argument


A Lancaster County man was trying to break up an argument when he shot and critically injured an unarmed man, police said.

Moises E. Lopez, 21, is charged with aggravated assault for the incident Sunday night in the 200 block of Jackson Street, in Manheim Township.

Police said when the argument occurred between several people in the home, Lopez pulled out a pistol he was carrying and shot the victim in the leg.

The unidentified victim was unconscious when officers arrived.

Lopez was placed in Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $50,000 bail.
