A jury convicted a Lancaster man for the sexual assault of a sleeping woman after deliberating for 30 minutes.
Prosecutors said Jordan Mayes assaulted the relative of an acquaintance on June 20, 2017, at a home on East High Street in Manheim.
The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office said the victim testified that she awoke to find Mayes assaulting her. She ran to a bedroom, locked the door and called 911. Mayes then left the home.
The jury returned guilty verdicts on six sex abuse offenses. Mayes was found not guilty of burglary and criminal trespass. He will be sentenced in a couple of months.
