A Columbia man will serve up to 12 years in prison for having heroin, marijuana and a loaded pistol with an obliterated serial number.

Nehemiah Kemp, 28, was recently sentenced to 6 to 12 years in prison. He pleaded guilty to four felonies and a misdemeanor in exchange for the sentence, the Lancaster County district attorney’s office said.

Manor Township police found the loaded .45-caliber pistol in a center console when Kemp was stopped in January. They also found nearly five grams of heroin and nearly three ounces of marijuana, along with drug packaging materials and $790 cash.
