Manheim Township inches towards residents monitoring police

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — Manheim Township is one step closer to having residents monitor police.

The township has been looking to start a Citizens Advisory Board since the death of George Floyd. The search process to fill that board has moved on to round two.

The board will make suggestions about police practices and funding, which the police chief supports this.

Manheim Township hopes to have the board established by October.
