Penn Manor students are some of the first in the country to create a virtual reality tour using technology that’s growing in popularity.
The students created the experience of visiting a Lancaster County farm.
“I didn’t want people to think that farmers just get on their tractors and putz along in their fields,” Penn Manor junior Blake Rohrer said.
Virtual reality is already used by teachers at Penn Manor to engage students in the school.
The students used “Tour Creator”, a tool from Google.
Agriculture students, English students, and technology students all had a hand in creating the experience.
The farm tour can be seen by anyone who has access to the internet.
“It’s crazy to me to think that all the way over in Bali someone might be looking at our video and seeing something we put together,” senior Emily Aukamp said.
