A Lancaster County man is accused of selling crack cocaine to undercover police, sometimes while holding his 1-year-old son.
Timothy Gross, 38, of Columbia, made several drug sales during a month-long investigation and had the child in his arms on two occasions, Lancaster police said.
When police searched him, they said they found 14.78 grams of crack cocaine and 4.22 grams of powder cocaine, bundled in bags for sale, in the front pouch of the child’s diaper bag. The same pocket contained children’s socks and underwear.
Gross’s son and his other child, an 8-year-old, both had easy access to the diaper bag and its contents, police said.
The drugs had an approximate street value of $1,900.
Police said Gross used an apartment on North Mary Street to sell and package drugs.
He is charged with delivery of crack cocaine, possession with intent to deliver, endangering the welfare of children, and related counts.
He was placed in Lancaster County Prison on $400,000 bail.
