Police: Man robbed bank, refused to leave

EPHRATA, Pa. (WHTM) - A man robbed and then refused to leave a Lancaster County bank until officers came to arrest him, police said.

Curtis Lee Butler, 36, is accused of robbing the Ephrata National Bank on East Main Street.

Ephrata police said they got a call Monday morning for a robbery in progress. According to the dispatch, a man was inside and refusing to leave until the police came.

Two female tellers were in the bank at the time. No one was injured and no weapon was displayed or threatened.

Butler, who is homeless, was taken into custody and found to be in possession of cash stolen from the bank, police said.

He was sent to Lancaster County Prison on $50,000 bail.
