Police: Man sold fatal batch of fentanyl-laced heroin


LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A man is charged with delivering a fatal dose of fentanyl-laced heroin in Lancaster County.

Daniel M. Velez Jr., 20, of Mount Carmel, delivered the drugs to a 33-year-old Lancaster man who died from an overdose on Nov. 20, Manheim Township police said.

Velez is charged with drug delivery resulting in death and criminal use of a communication facility. He was already detained at Lancaster County Prison on unrelated charges.
