Police: Man stole running car, used victim’s credit card

Lancaster

A homeless man is accused of stealing a car that had been left running and unattended.

Manheim Township police say 33-year-old Philip Dixon stole a 2012 Toyota Camry from the 5700 block Main Street in East Petersburg on December 4.

Dixon then drove the car to Hershey and used the victim’s credit card to buy three Visa gift cards in the amount of $315.85, police said.

Dixon was inside the stolen vehicle when he was arrested last week. He’s charged with vehicle theft and access device fraud.
