There’s a big question in Manheim: who has $456.7 million Powerball lottery ticket?’
The ticket was sold at the Speedway on Route 72 in Penn Township.
The winner can opt for a $456.7 million payout over 29 years or a straight cash option of $273.9 million. Both figures are before taxes and are the eighth-largest jackpot in Powerball history.
Customers are still flocking to the store and buying tickets, hoping lightning strikes twice.
Since no one has claimed the massive jackpot, there are a few theories on a winner.
The most popular one appears to revolve around the Manheim Auto Auction, which is just a couple of miles away from the store that sold the winning ticket. The auction brings in people from all over the country.
“My feeling is that is was somebody who was at the auction and maybe even forgot about it,” said Darren Emmich, of Morgantown.
Winners have a year to claim their prize.
