Update: Three adults injured in School bus involved multi-vehicle accident

EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — A full-size school bus traveling eastbound in the 2500 blk of Lincoln Hwy East failed to stop for traffic that was stopped on Thursday morning.

According to PennDOT, the school bus had no students on board and was only occupied by the driver.

The bus struck a white 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer from the rear, pushing that vehicle into a green 2018 Chevrolet van.

The trailblazer was only occupied by the driver and the van was occupied by a driver and front seat passenger.

All occupants in the affected vehicles were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

The bus driver had minor injury but was not transported to a hospital. 

The crash remains under investigation however, it is believed that the bright sunrise on the horizon may have had some contribution making it difficult to see.

The roadway has since been cleared following the accident.

Any witnesses are asked to contact the East Lampeter Township Police Department.
