Lancaster Country Day School canceled classes Wednesday and Thursday after a water pipe froze and burst, possibly exposing the building to asbestos.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the school said a restoration team reported possible asbestos in the area around the burst pipe. Test results should be known midday Thursday.
“Until these results are back and we are given safe clearance, we want to be prudent about school attendance,” the statement reads.
The upper and middle schools will have cyber days.
