GAP, Pa. (WHTM) – State Police have arrested a driver wanted for a hit-and-run crash in Lancaster County.
State Police say Randy Hensel was the driver of an older, maroon Jeep Cherokee, which struck a horse and buggy at the intersection of Mine Road and Strasburg Road in Gap after 7 a.m.
The occupants of the buggy, a man and woman, were ejected and taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
One of the occupants of the horse and buggy sustained several broken ribs, traumatic brain injury, and a fractured clavicle.
State Police say a short time after the crash, a school bus driver spotted the Jeep with severe front end damage, including a missing a headlight at the intersectioon of Route 741 and Route 41.
Authorities were able to arrest Hensel Thursday evening.
