Tree vandalized at Ephrata High School

EPHRATA, Pa. (WHTM) - Police say someone attempted to cut down a tree at Ephrata High School last week.

The 40-foot maple at the rear school parking lot was cut through from both sides, leaving little to keep it standing, police said. The district had to remove the tree to keep it from falling.

School officials are reviewing surveillance video and speaking with witnesses.

Anyone with information should call Ephrata police at 717-733-8611 or 717-738-9200.
