LANCASTER, Pa (WHTM) – The U.S. Women’s Open golf tournament is returning to Lancaster Country Club in 2024.

The USGA made the announcement Tuesday morning.

Lancaster Country Club, which sits in Manheim and East Lampeter Township, previously hosted the U.S. Women’s open in 2015.

At the time, USGA officials said that event set an attendance record with more than 135,000 spectators viewing the U.S. Women’s Open Championship throughout the week.

Officials with the USGA cited the high attendance, as well as the quality of the golf course and unique elevation changes on the course, for why they selected Lancaster Country club to host the event again.
