EPHRATA, Pa (WHTM) – Ephrata Police in Lancaster County have released video of men reportedly attaching a skimming device to an ATM at a bank.
Police said the two men walked up to a drive-up ATM on Sunday evening and installed the device designed to capture digital information from the magnetic strip on an ATM card. Police have not identified the bank involved.
The video shows one of the men pulling something from the sleeve of his coat and the other man taking it and apparently attaching it to the machine. The whole installation took less than 45 seconds.
Police said two Ephrata area banks have been the victim of skimming devices over the past month.
