Woman learns penalty for over 1,600 skipped turnpike tolls

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - A Lancaster County woman who failed to pay turnpike tolls on over 1,600 trips during a five-year period has been sentenced to 24 months of probation.

Lori Yearick, 45, of Mount Joy, must also pay a $2,500 fine and serve 200 hours of community service.

She has already paid $10,149.10 in restitution to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

Yearick owed more than $25,000 in unpaid tolls and $65,000 in fees when she was charged with a felony count of theft of services in November.
