Helicopter crash in Lebanon County injures pilot, police say


LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Lebanon County dispatchers confirmed a helicopter crash on the 1800 block of S Forge Rd in South Londonderry Township Saturday afternoon.

Police say one male was injured during the crash but was walking and talking before being taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The Robinson R66 aircraft, which was designed to seat five, was only occupied by the pilot at the time of the crash.

According to data from FlightAware, the aircraft departed from Deitch airport in New Kingstown Saturday at 4:13 p.m. and crashed around 4:30 p.m. in Reigle Field in Palmyra.

FAA documentation states the aircraft is registered in Harrisburg, Dauphin County to Donagair.
