Fort Indiantown Gap to hold demolitions, artillery training

People who live and work near Fort Indiantown Gap may hear increased noise during demolitions and artillery training this month.

Artillery training will be conducted April 7-11, mortars training will be conducted April 11-14, and demolitions training will be conducted April 12-13, all between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.

In addition, water operations training will be conducted at Marquette Lake on April 8-12. Fishing will be permitted only from the shoreline during the training, and signs will be posted around the lake as a reminder.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire, maneuver military training facility in Pennsylvania. Training that is expected to result in increased noise levels is announced as a courtesy to nearby residents.
