A Columbia man is charged after a 2-year-old boy in his care sustained bruises and burns.
Joshua Booher, 19, was in charge of the child for about 30 to 40 minutes when the abuse occurred at a Myerstown home on April 21, state police in Jonestown said.
During that time, police said Booher caused second- and third-degree burns to the boy’s hands, wrists, and arms. The child also had bruises on his face, ear, neck, and forehead, police said in a news release.
Booher is charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, and reckless endangerment.
He was released after posting bond on $100,000 bail, according to court records.
