Police have released the names of two men found with gunshot wounds after a crash on Route 72 late Monday.

Jelson Dejesus Ortiz, 34, of Reading, died of two gunshot wounds and Alexis Rafael Perez Garcia, 27, no permanent address, died of a single gunshot wound, Cornwall police Chief Bruce Harris said after autopsies on Wednesday.

Both men died after their northbound vehicle crashed into a median barrier near the Route 322 westbound on-ramp around 10 p.m.

Witnesses told investigators there was at least one other person in the vehicle who fled by walking north on Route 72 toward the Mount Gretna exit. Police are still looking for that person.

Anyone with information should call Cornwall police at 717-274-2071.
