Nearly 300 volunteers participate in United Way of York County’s Day of Action

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) — Nearly 300 volunteers participated in the United Way of York County’s Day of Action Friday.

From cleaning up farms to working at the SPCA, there were several volunteer projects happening across the county.

Employers were encouraged to let workers participate in socially distant volunteer opportunities that helped nonprofits hit hard by the pandemic.

Day of Action is the largest single-day volunteer event in York.
