Pennsylvania State Police have charged a Dauphin man in an animal cruelty death case that involved his two boxer dogs named Rocky and Primo.

According to investigators, Bryan Gardner was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, cruelty to animals, and neglect of animals.

In March of 2018, the bodies of the dogs were found near the intersection of Victoria Trail and Clarks Valley Road in Middle Paxton Township.

Troopers say one dog had a gunshot wound to the abdomen and the other had significant trauma to its head and stomach.

Investigators say they received an anonymous tip leading them to Gardner as the owner of the dogs.

Troopers say they found more incriminating evidence going through Gardner’s cell phone records.

Gardner was arraigned yesterday on $15,000 unsecured bail.
