Police ID 2 dead in crash near St. Thomas

ST. THOMAS, Pa. (WHTM) - State police have released the names of two people who died in a crash that resulted in three fatalities on Route 30 in Franklin County.

David D. Todorich, 36, of Harrisburg, was driving a 1999 Honda Civic that drifted out of its travel lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Dodge Neon in St. Thomas Township around 10:18 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Todorich and two passengers in the Dodge, 72-year-old Shirley Strait and an 11-year-old boy, both of McConnellsburg, died at Chambersburg Hospital. State police did not release the boy's name.

The driver of the Dodge, 66-year-old Mark R. Strait, also of McConnellsburg, was taken to Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The section of Route 30 is locally known as the 10000 block of Lincoln Way West.
