A Quarryville doctor accused of having inappropriate contact with a patient and investigators is looking for others who might have been patient.
William R. Vollmar, 55, of Willow Street, is charged with a misdemeanor count of indecent assault.
Police say the 55-year-old had inappropriate contact with a patient in late March when that adult patient was visiting for an ankle injury.
Vollmar worked for Diamantoni and Associates Family Practice before retiring last week.
Craig Stedman, Lancaster County District Attorney says “We follow the facts, we’re interested in the facts. Are there more facts out there? Are there people that knew something and that maybe they thought was innocent at the time and didn’t think anything was wrong about it. We’d like to hear about it.”
In the past, Vollmar worked with a number of local school districts giving out sport physicals. Lampeter Strasburg and Conestoga Valley are some of the schools he worked at.
“We just want to get a message out there that there may be more information that would assist the prosecution in this case and we should know — Anytime you have a charge like this there’s always a concern was there any other incident, particularly involving a juvenile and with the ability to have association with children. says Stedman
Vollmar only faces one charge as of now, he has a preliminary hearing set for May 15th.
