Severe storms Friday evening in the western half of the Midstate did cause damage, and possibly a tornado too.
A rotating line of storms was the culprit for the damage in western Franklin County. Video and reports of a possible tornado show the strong storm as it was rotating.
Even if a tornado did not form, high wind gusts did move western Franklin County. Radar estimated winds show the wind could have gusted in excess of 55 mph.
Other severe storms formed across the Midstate as well, including over Mifflin and Huntingdon Counties with reported damage in both areas from high wind.
