This evening, the conditions haven’t been too bad on the main roads or the secondary ones, but the snow from the second wave of winter weather is now coming down.
According to Cumberland County dispatchers there haven’t been any crashes, major or minor, because of the snow.
The heaviest snowfall is expected tonight and tomorrow morning, before a transition to ice happens.
Earlier today, several families decided to take advantage of the snow day by sledding at Hillside School in New Cumberland.
Parents, kids, and pets all took part.
“We decided to come out. The kids are off school. We don’t have work right now. So we figured between the break in the snow we come out and enjoy the weather because all the snow that we’ve had has been pretty cold,” said Lori Straub, Mother.
A reminder from PennDOT, drivers should be extra cautious around snow plows, and should stay at least six car lengths behind them in these conditions.
