York County cleaning up after first round of snow

Local

No matter if you love the snow or not, I think we can all agree this has been a beautiful February morning.

This is what February is supposed to look like. A lot of us did however have a slushy morning commute.

It looks like many of the main roads are now clear.

PennDOT trucks have been out working on those routes all morning.

York County schools are playing it safe. There are at least 18 different school districts that have closed today.

We’re looking at a very heavy, wet snow, but there is little ice as of right now.

That means a lot of us had a easy time clearing off our cars this morning. Take a look at some of these beautiful weather at scenes taken by our photojournalist.

These were captured near Reservoir Park near York college.

There’s lots of students out here enjoying the weather, enjoying their days off. Including first grader Bentley.

He’s been scouting out the best mountain to slide on all morning, and he has some advice for those looking to do the same.

“That they all should come over here because it’s a bigger hill so you can slide a lot better,” said Bentley, First Grader.

The winter weather advisory is expected to continue through noon tomorrow. We will keep a close eye on the roads as we know that the snow here in York county is expected to continue through the night.
