17-year-old charged after posting social media threat against West York SD

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) — On Wednesday, police announced a 17-year-old faces charges after he threatened the West York Area School District.

The threat of violence was posted on social media and prompted the district to send both middle and high schoolers home.

The 17-year-old told police it was a joke, but they’ve charged him with three counts of making terroristic threats.
