Four workers died in a crash that closed Route 30 in Paradise Township for more than eight hours on Monday, York County Coroner Pam Gay said.
The collision involving a septic tanker truck and a utility truck occurred near the intersection of Pine Road, about a half-mile east of Abbottstown, around 7:15 a.m.
Route 30 reopened around 3:30 p.m. It had been closed in both directions between Moulstown Road and West Canal Road.
Gay said all four men in the westbound utility truck died when it crossed the center line and struck the tanker truck nearly head-on.
The coroner’s office has identified the 4 victims as 23-year-old Reuben Fisher, 24-year-old Matthew Hurst, 27-year-old Jonathan Beiler, and 36-year-old Gregory Butcher, Junior.
The driver of the tanker truck was flown to a hospital by helicopter.
