A ninth-grade student is charged after making threats at Central York High School.
According to a statement from the district website, Central York High School administrators were notified of a concerning statement overheard in a hallway on Friday.
After learning of the statement Monday, administrators notified the school resource officer and the Springettsbury Township Police Department.
After an investigation, police have charged a ninth-grade Central York High School student with making a terroristic threat.
Officials say the student has been removed from school and will not be named since the student is a minor.
The Central York School District was shut down for three days last year due to threats. A student was arrested for those threats.
