Coroner IDs man shot to death in York


YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – The York County Coroner’s Office has released the name of a man who was fatally shot in the city Thursday evening.

Antonio Garcia, 27, of York, was found dead just before 7 p.m. in the 200 block of South Pershing Avenue.

An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.

Police said Garcia was targeted and shot in the area of South Belvidere Avenue and West King Street. After the shooting, a known person drove him to South Pershing and Hope Avenue where residents in the area called 911.
