Hanover man arrested after home invasion, stabbings


Hanover Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a home invasion and assault that took place around 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Police say they have arrested Brandon Lee Moorefield of Hanover, after they were called to the first block of College Avenue for a disturbance, and found another 25-year-old Hanover man with stab wounds. 

Officers say they found Moorefield, along with a 21-year-old woman who also had stab wounds on the 300 block of North Forney Avenue. An investigation revealed that Moorefield had foricibly taken the woman with him. 

Both stab victims were taken to the hospital, the male with serious injuries, the female with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Moorfield has been charged with criminal attempt to commit criminal homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, burglary, criminal trespass, kidnapping, unlawful restraint, stalking, and criminal use of communication facility.
