YORK, Pa. (WHTM) - Lake Williams will close to fishing and boating for several months beginning Friday at dusk.
The York Water Company began drawing down the lake on Monday. It plans to begin work to repair the dam after the Labor Day weekend.
Fish from Lake Williams will be transferred to Lake Redman on Saturday. The public is invited to help.
The bridge over Lake Williams will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 4, and remain closed until the dam improvement project is completed, which is expected to be at least one year.
