Missing York County man found

Police say they found a missing York County man considered to be a threat to himself and others due to his history of violent behavior.

Paul Utz, 68, was found by Hanover police at a local shelter around noon Friday. He was taken into custody without incident and was to be transported to a secure facility, Southwestern Regional police said.

Utz, of Heidelberg Township, walked away from a group home in the 1800 block of Smith Station Road on Thursday around 5:30 p.m.

Paul Utz, 68, of Heidelberg Township, walked away from a group home in the 1800 block of Smith Station Road on Thursday around 5:30 p.m., Southwestern Regional police said.

Utz left the home without his medication or his false teeth. He was seen walking south on Smith Station Road wearing a dark colored jacket, dark pants, and a red plaid hat.

He was later seen Thursday night in a hotel bar in the first block of York Street in Hanover.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911.
