Police seek driver in hit-run that injured sheriff's deputy

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) - Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a sheriff's deputy in York.

The deputy was struck by a passing vehicle in the area of South Queen and East Princess streets Wednesday around 3:49 p.m., police said.

The deputy was helping York city police officers look for two suspects in a drug offense at the time.

The striking vehicle is believed to be a dark colored sedan, possibly black. Police said it will have damage to the front end, hood, and possibly the windshield.

Investigators are offering a cash reward for a tip that leads to an arrest.
