YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – York County Libraries is launching a multi-million dollar expansion project.
Martin Library in downtown York, Kaltreider-Benfer Library in Red Lion, and Kreutz Creek Library in Hellam Township will be renovated.
County commissioners last year cut $300,000 from the library system’s operating fund. It was a hard hit, but not enough to stop them from drawing up new expansion plans. They will get the $10 million needed from private donors and state grants.
Through the expansion, the library system wants to provide more space for kids and teenagers to learn in ways they can’t in school and get access to state of the art resources for free.
