Officials from the Small Business Administration visited damage in Hellam and Chanceford Townships.
The county hopes these agencies can assist residents who were severely impacted by the flooding.
But the county says this is still a preliminary step. The SBA’s Thursday findings will be used to apply for a disaster declaration.
It could be weeks or months until residents can apply for funding through the agency. The money would go towards fixing things that are not insured.
The county says PEMA and FEMA officials will be out next week to assess damage as well.
These agencies along with the SBA could offer additional funding to residents still cleaning up.
