York County homes submerged in floodwater as Ida’s remnants rage on


YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — When the remnants of Fred hit the Midstate there were about a dozen water rescues. With Ida hitting on Wednesday that number is about the same, but now that incorporates home rescues as well. One rescue was needed to save five people and three dogs.

York College’s Tyler Run Creek has gone over its banking and is flowing at a rapid pace.

The scenes of flooding are widespread throughout York including a few homes substantially submerged in water.

As of 7:00 p.m. no reported deaths or injuries.
