WellSpan Health is expanding its York Cancer Center.
The new $45-million center will allow patients to receive treatments all under the same roof.
Consolidating radiation oncology, outpatient services, pharmacy, clinical trials and social work.
WellSpan officials say the facility will positively impact thousands of cancer patients in Central Pennsylvania.
“So there are more than two thousand diagnoses of cancer in our community every year and people are living longer with cancer so we need to provide services for that growing number of people,” said Roxanna Gapstur, CEO and President of WellSpan Health.
The new building is still in the design phase and should be completed by early 2021.
