ICKESBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A 46-year-old man was killed while attempting a bicycle stunt at a Perry County home.

Coroner Mike Shalonis said the man was trying to jump a homemade ramp with a child’s bicycle and broke his neck when he went over the handlebars and struck his face on the ground.

His name was not released.

The incident occurred Saturday during a family gathering in Saville Township. State police in Newport said the bike ramps had been set up on a private drive.

The death has been ruled an accident.
