Ex of NFL Running Back LeSean McCoy says she was set up to be assaulted

Former abc27 Sports Anchor Josh Reed covers the Buffalo Bills for our sister station WIVB. He says LeSean McCoy story has been the talk of the town.

"This accusation comes out and the longer you don't hear from him the more you go what is going on
here and then it was about an hour until he responded and rebutted everything that came out," said Reed.

Investigators released the 911 call for help.

"911 Dispatcher: Ok tell me exactly what happened. Caller: Someone broke into my house and a guy was looking for money and jewelry."

"911 Dispatcher: "Is he still in the house? Caller: No, he left."

"911 Dispatcher: "What happened to you, ma'am? Caller: He had a gun and I got beat in the face, and I have cuts, oh my God! 911 Dispatcher: Ok, I am getting right there."

McCoy's ex-girlfriend Delicia Cordon reported that she was attacked by a man who entered a home outside Atlanta that she and McCoy once shared. Cordon says she was hit in the face with a gun.

"Day one of training camp was going to be all about the quarterback battle now it will be all about McCoy and the situation," said Reed.

Police have responded several times to the Georgia home for non-violent disputes.

"LeSean has hired a high powered attorney and we can assume he will fight this with everything he's got," said Reed.

The woman who was attacked had said the jewelry that was taken is the same jewelry McCoy had previously asked her to return.

Reed says Cordon's attorney told a news outlet that her client was no longer certain that McCoy was involved in her attack.
