That’s where Drug Free Workplace PA comes in. It’s a state-funded non-profit whose sole mission is to help employers deal with addicted employees.
They believe that employers can be a first line of defense. They will help businesses write, and implement, a drug policy that works, free of charge.
Gina Riordan with the organization says there’s one thing that’s often missing in weak drug policies.
“I would say that they’re not thorough enough, they don’t really address, they don’t have a list of substances that they should,” said Riordan.
