Off-duty officer hurt after crash with teen driver

Pennsylvania

An off-duty officer was hurt in a crash by a teen driver who was being chased and later shot by another driver, police said.

Investigators said the West Homestead officer was leaving work when a car clipped his personal truck causing it to roll over. The driver of that car, a 17-year-old, was being chased by another car and side-swiped the officer’s car.

Police said someone inside another vehicle chasing the teen stopped and fired several shots. The victim was shot in the leg.

The officer and teen are in stable condition.
