Pennsylvania game wardens are trying to capture a black bear that attacked and seriously injured a woman in Lycoming County.
Officials told WNEP-TV the woman was outside her home with her dog when the bear grabbed her leg and dragged her more than 80 yards Wednesday night.
The woman was able to get away and call for help. She was hospitalized for treatment of broken bones and cuts.
Game wardens are investigating why the bear attacked. They said deer parts from the recent hunting season were near the home.
The bear will be euthanized once captured.
