Philly voters elect Democrat to fill vacant seat

PHILADELPHIA, Pa (WHTM/AP) — Voters in West Philadelphia choose another Democrat to replace a lawmaker who resigned after being accused of stealing from a nonprofit she founded.

Roni Green will take over Movita Johnson-Harrell’s seat.

She beat her Republican opponent Wanda Logan.

Democrat Johnson-Harrell resigned amid charges she stole from a nonprofit she founded.
