Weather service confirms 7 tornadoes in Pennsylvania

The National Weather Service has confirmed at least six more tornados in Pennsylvania during Tuesday’s storms.

The weather service said an EF-2 tornado with winds between 115 and 120 mph touched down between Liberty and Buttonwood in Lycoming County, about 20 miles north of Williamsport.

Initial indications are that a weak tornado produced mostly tree damage in Springbrook Township near the Lackawanna and Luzerne County Line.

An EF-1 tornado touched down near Graysville, in Greene County, about 40 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.

In Jefferson County, survey teams confirmed an EF-0 tornado just west of Brookville and an EF-2 northeast of Summerville.

The weather service earlier confirmed an EF-2 tornado with winds up to 115 mph that struck the Rolling Fields Elder Care Community in Conneautville. No serious injuries were reported.

Survey teams later confirmed a second twister in Crawford County. They said an EF-1 tornado with winds up to 105 mph left a 3.5-mile path near Blooming Valley. At least one home was damaged.
