October is here and the leaves are starting to change. There are many fall traditions to enjoy but there are also new twists on old favorites.

If you are tired of traditional pumpkin carving or maybe have a little one you don’t want holding a knife, MomsSpark.net has a solution: a DIY Melted Crayon Pumpkin.

According to the website, all you need is a pumpkin, crayons, and a blow dryer. You put the pumpkin on newspaper, or a covered surface, peel the crayons and place them on the pumpkin, then blow dry them until they melt.

Unfortunately, this didn’t work for Brett and Amanda. This pin was a pitch.

But the pumpkin theme continued with a Rice Krispie Pumpkin Treat from SheKnows.com.

For this, you need nonstick cooking spray, Rice Krispies cereal, butter, mini marshmallows, orange food coloring, pretzel sticks and decorating frosting in green and black.

Follow the instructions in this link and enjoy! This was a dessert both Amanda and Brett liked and our newsroom loved.
